    2. Dear ajay sir,
Can you please explain me the advantages of graphite condenser over SS condenser. And also tell me how much value of U we should take to calculate the area required for an heat duty.

      1. Dear ,

Graphite condensers shall be used for condensing acidic vapours, as an alternate for graphite condensers, haste alloy / tantalum condensers shall be used.
Where as SS shall be used only for handling vapours having pH above 5.0.

Tantalum will have higher overall heat transfer co-efficient than graphite,
The U value of the graphite can be considered as 30% less than that of tantalum.

        Any queries pl revert.

        Regards,
        AJAY K

      1. Dear Narayana,

What is the solvent you are using, and what is the amount of boilup you need to get, what is the heat transfer area of the triple effect evaporator?

        Kindly share the details,

        Regards,
